EWPAL Basketball is a Winter Sport. The season runs from January to mid-March. Registration starts in September.

League Highlights
 

• The league will have two divisions playing at the McKnight School - Starters and Instructional. 3rd Grade through 6th Grade will play either at the McKnight or Kreps school. 
• The Starter Division will be CO-ED and include players in PRE-K and K.
• The Instructional Division will be broken out into a Girls and Boys Division and include players in first and second grade. If we have enough children registered. If not, they will play co-ed.
• Games will be played three on three half court (utilizing the full length of each side court) for the starter's beginner divisions.
• The Instructional Division will play on the full court.
• For the starter's beginner divisions, practice will be held before each game (20-25) minutes followed by a game.  A 24-minute game for the Beginner Division - running time).
• Instructional will have a practice in the evening during the week. They will have a 15-minute practice followed by a scrimmage game of 36-minute game-running time. 
• Hoops will be lowered to eight feet for the Instructional Beginner Division and six feet for the Starters Division.
• The 3rd-5th Instructional division will focus on skills to play the game. They will have a practice during the week. They will play on full court and 10 ft rims.
• Ball size for Pre-K-2nd grade is 27.5
• Ball size for 3rd-5th grade is 28.5
